Established in 1986 to provide premier management services to residential and commercial owners associations and commercial real estate owners in Northern California, Advanced Property Management (APM) is one of the privately held property management companies with offices in Pleasant Hill and Sacramento, California.

APM is dedicated to a select clientele for whom we provide exceptional management services.

Our principals work directly with association boards and property owners and are committed to a high level of service and consultation based in sound financial practice and process efficiency.

Jay Spangenberg

Community Association Manager since 1986. Additional experience includes Chief Financial Officer of Bedford Property Investors (NYSE REIT), Project Manager with Kemper Real Estate Management Company, Assistant Treasurer of Bedford Properties and Assistant Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer for Bank of America.

Johnathan Kaufman

Community association management and special project management since 2015. Previous experience primarily includes over 10 years in the technical and marketing sector, with the previous four years as Division Manager of a national marketing firm. Experience with project management, portfolio marketing/branding, regulatory compliance, conflict resolution, and customer service.

Chris Waage

Previous experience includes 10+ years of government administration with the Town of Danville and City of San Ramon with a focus on community development and delivery of high-quality services. Additional extensive experience in business operations and operational logistics with 6 years as division director for a national educational service provider.

Jinjer Bowden

Community association management liaison since 2004. Previous experience includes administration, project management and accounting in the areas of law and human resources for 15+ years. CACM-Certified Community Association Manager

Gayle Bu

Property management administration and communications since 2002. Previous experience includes administration and project management in the areas of retail, advertising and law enforcement for 13+ years.

TaVee Lee

Property management communications support since 2011. Previous experience includes a decade in retail purchasing and management as well as many years of project management with freelance design and communications support for a wide range of clients, events and the visual arts.

Dawn Friesen

Property management customer service liaison since 2013. Previous experience includes working for 25+ years as a licensed customer service representative in the insurance industry (both personal and commercial insurance).

Shawna Roehrs

Special project management since 2013. Previous experience includes 9 years of project management, bookkeeping, administrative and customer support.

Accounting Oversight

Denise Babich

Community association accounting since 1992. Additional experience includes Auditor for Deloitte and Touche, Loan Servicing for Commerce Security Bank.
